LUPAI Privacy Policy
LUPAI is an iPhone study app for the food protection manager certification exam, published by MAR AI LLC. This policy covers the app, this website and support email.

Study information on your iPhone
LUPAI keeps your study progress on your iPhone: practice answers and scores, paused and completed sessions, questions to review, and study settings. If you enter an optional first name, study status or test date, the app stores those on your iPhone too. An optional daily reminder is scheduled by iOS on your device. LUPAI does not ask you to create a MAR AI account, and MAR AI LLC does not receive these study records through the app. Your own device backups may include app data.
Optional microphone and speech recognition
You can answer by tapping. If you choose spoken answers and grant microphone and speech recognition permission, LUPAI uses Apple speech recognition. It requests on-device recognition where your iPhone supports it. Where that is unavailable, or on a retry after recognition fails, Apple may process audio on its servers under Apple's privacy practices. MAR AI LLC does not receive your microphone audio or transcripts through this feature. The app does not keep recordings or transcripts of your answers.
Purchase
The Welcome chapter is free. A one-time in-app purchase can unlock the remaining chapters and practice features. Apple handles payment and purchase restoration. LUPAI keeps entitlement information on the device and checks purchases with Apple; MAR AI LLC does not receive your payment card details through the app.
Support email
If you choose to send a support email, we receive your email address, message and anything you attach. The app can prepare a report with its version and build, chapter and question identifiers, study language, iPhone model and iOS version. It does not add your answers, score, attempt history, transcript or a unique device identifier. You can review, edit or cancel the email before sending it from your mail app.
We use correspondence to answer questions and investigate problems. Support email remains in our inbox until deleted; we have no fixed deletion schedule. Deleting LUPAI does not delete email you already sent. Ask us to access, correct or delete support correspondence at hello@mar-ai.org, subject to any records we must keep.
This website
The public website is separate from the app. Cloudflare serves mar-ai.org and a site mirror is hosted on Fly.io. These hosts may record ordinary request logs, such as your IP address, requested page and browser information, for security and troubleshooting. This static site has no advertising or analytics scripts and does not itself set cookies.

LUPAI is exam prep. It does not administer an exam or issue a certificate. It is independent of exam providers, the FDA and health departments; no provider's exam format or result is promised.
